A 40-year-old man's has been jailed for 19 years - despite firmly denying sexually abusing two girls in Auckland

A judge has convicted Thomas Fisher for the crimes in the Auckland District Court.

He has abused one girl over a decade, from when she was five years old, and also abused her friend on one occasion.

Fisher was exposed in 2024 after the main victim showed another friend journal entries outlining the abuse.

Both victims say his crimes have caused them to distrust men.
