    Sprinter Zoe Hobbs has seared her competition with a scorching win at the Sir Graham Douglas Invitational athletics meet in Auckland


    A couple of hours after she stormed to victory in a 60mindoor world championship qualifying time, she flew to a 10.99 second wind-assisted victory in the women's race.

    Tiaan Whelpton posted a meet record 10.10 seconds in the men's 100m

    Shot putter Tom Walsh has opened his year with a comfortable victory - with a best throw of 20.80m - more than a metre to the good of his closest rival.

    Eliza McCartney clinched the women's pole vault with ease, posting a best mark of 4.70m.
