A 23-year-old man is facing a raft of charges, after allegedly ramming two Police vehicles in south Auckland overnight

A 23-year-old man is facing a raft of charges, after allegedly ramming two Police vehicles in south Auckland overnight

Police say the man was seen driving erratically and running through red lights in Manukau about 1.45 this morning.

Officers deployed spikes on Manukau Station Road to stop him, but he then rammed one stationary patrol vehicle multiple times and targeted another.

Police say they brought the van to a stop at the intersection of Te Irirangi Drive and Great South Road a short time later, where the man was taken into custody.

He'll appear in court today, facing eight charges.
