    A 38-year-old man is due in court today on murder charges, after a woman was found dead in an central Auckland apartment on Saturday night

    A 38-year-old man is due in court today on murder charges, after a woman was found dead in an central Auckland apartment on Saturday night


    Police say they were called to Day Street, off Karangahape Road, about 7:30pm on Saturday.

    Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin says the woman's body was found a short time later.

    He says the 38-year-old was known to the woman and he is due in Auckland District Court today.

    Police say they're not seeking anyone else in relation to the death.
