    CEO Nick Becker doesn't believe Auckland FC are suffering the dreaded second year syndrome


    Crowned Premiers in their inaugural season in football's A-League - the Black Knights lost to lowly Newcastle on the weekend and have fallen to third on the table after six rounds.

    Becker says opposition teams may be more familiar with their personnel and style of play, but the club still expects to be a competition front-runner.



    Auckland FC host the Phoenix on Saturday in the second New Zealand derby of the season.
