    A person is seriously injured after being trapped under a vehicle in central Auckland.


    Fire and Emergency says it was called to Westmere's Chester Ave just after 11 this morning, and staff had to lift the vehicle to free the person..

    Hato Hone St John says a seriously injured person was taken to Auckland City Hospital.

    Shaken and upset workers sitting across from a construction site say what occurred was "just an accident."

    Just days ago, a Wanaka man died after being trapped under his vehicle.
