An ex Christchurch Boys' High School teacher has been awarded 25-thousand dollars in compensation, despite losing her unjustified dismissal case

An ex Christchurch Boys' High School teacher has been awarded 25-thousand dollars in compensation, despite losing her unjustified dismissal case

Susan Mowat resigned from the school in 2019, alleging Headmaster Nic Hill blamed her for things she didn't do -- including letters about him, sent to the board.

In turn, she accused him of defecating on her driveway.

The Employment Relations Authority's found the school failed to address Mowat's concerns or treat them as a legitimate complaint.

Instead, it took a 'shutdown approach' and left her feeling her concerns were minimised during a vulnerable time.
