Blues flanker Adrian Choat has escaped with a warning for a foul-play incident in the Super Rugby loss to the Crusaders in Christchurch

Blues flanker Adrian Choat has escaped with a warning for a foul-play incident in the Super Rugby loss to the Crusaders in Christchurch

Choat was cited for the 17th minute high shot on Crusaders halfback Noah Hotham after it was deemed post-match that the incident had met the red-card threshold.

However, he's not been handed any further punishment by the foul play review committee after they accepted that there was a low-to-mid level of force and the tackle was a smother-like absorption.

They have deemed the incident was close to, but didn't meet the red card threshold.

Rebels prop Taniela Tupou is also free to play this weekend after he was given a warning for charging into a ruck in the loss to the Brumbies.
