    A former staff member from Christchurch's St Bede's College is appearing in court next month, on charges relating to historical sexual offending


    Rowan Maxwell Donoghue was a priest and dean of boarders at the Catholic school.

    The 68-year-old faces 11 charges relating to boarding students between 1996-and-2000.

    St Bede's Rector, Jon McDowall, says the school is committed to addressing historical abuse - anyone affected or with concerns should contact him.

    Police say anyone with relevant information should contact them.
