    A Christchurch community's in shock as Police launch a homicide investigation in their suburb


    Officers were called to a Lamorna Road property in Parklands, just before 8 last night - where a woman died at the scene.

    A 36-year-old man's been charged with murder and is due to appear in Christchurch District Court.

    Herald reporter Jazlyn Whales, is at the scene, and says neighbours are feeling unsettled.

    She says they say they don't expect to see this type of thing in their neighbourhood.
