Christchurch rate-payers could be in for a nine-percent rates rise next year

Christchurch rate-payers could be in for a nine-percent rates rise next year

The City Council's started work on its 2026/27 budget.

At a councillor briefing last week, finance staff signalled next year's rates increase has dipped from the expected 10.5 percent.

One New Zealand Stadium will contribute one percent of the increase.
