Christchurch police are looking at whether a spate of robberies over the past 48 hours, are linked to ram raids in the city last weekend

Two youths have been arrested over three aggravated robberies across Somerfield, Strowan and Riccarton over the weekend.

Several stolen items have been recovered, and police are now investigating whether the incidents are linked to a series of ram raids the weekend prior.

Meanwhile, a Heathcote store was also held up at gunpoint around 7pm.

No one was injured, and Police are still searching for the offenders.
