Dunedin's getting into the festive season

Dunedin's getting into the festive season

The city's inaugural Christmas in the Garden -- at the Botanic Gardens -- takes place today.

The festival marks the start of summer, and replace the previous Lighting of the Christmas Tree event.

Enterprise Dunedin events co-ordinator, Allison Wallace says the new event was created, in a bid to make it more accessible for families.

    She says it's a free -- un-ticketed -- event, open for all.
