The Blues have suffered their third straight Super Rugby loss

The Blues have suffered their third straight Super Rugby loss

They've surrendered a 12-nil lead to fall 26-21 to the Brumbies in Canberra.

Meanwhile an 80th minute try has seen the Chiefs leave Dunedin with a 31-all draw with the Highlanders.

Highlanders coach Aaron Mauger says they gave the visitors too many opportunities late in the game.

He says they weren't smart enough, and they didn't put their foot on the Chiefs throat when they needed to.

Mauger has confirmed fullback Ben Smith has suffered a hamstring strain and will be assessed in the coming days.

In Wellington, the Hurricanes have held off the Rebels 29-19.

The Bulls have beaten the Waratahs 28-21.
