The doors remain shut at Countdown Dunedin South, as work continues to get on top of its rat issues

The supermarket was closed over the weekend, to allow Rentokil pest control workers to thoroughly check the store, and work out how the rats are getting inside.

Spokesperson Jason Stockill's confirmed Rentokil has been onsite, with additional traps and cameras to track any new activity.

He says all entry-sites have been sealed, and there's no evidence of any nesting -- while staff and contractors continue cleaning today.
