    An elderly man's been arrested for allegedly performing an indecent act in front of young girls at a Dunedin beach


    Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond says police found the 79-year-old man naked in a bushy embankment, near St Clair Beach, just after 4.30 yesterday afternoon.

    Police clothed the man - who was then arrested and charged with performing an indecent act in a public place.

    He was known to police but had no recent history.
