A teen attacked with a hammer is recovering from emergency surgery - after a road rage brawl in Dunedin

It's alleged people in a crash on Jetty street yesterday, followed and assaulted the others involved to McCrae Street, striking one in the head with a hammer.

Police stopped the victim being driven away by his car's other occupant.

They say a person's appeared in the Youth Court charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm today, and another teen's been bailed on an assault charge.
