A teenager who broke up a scuffle at Dunedin's bus hub has described the moment he realised a boy had been stabbed

The 14-year-old accused of murdering Enere McLaren-Taana last May has pleaded not guilty - claiming self-defence.

A jury saw multiple CCTV and cellphone camera angles of the incident yesterday.

A witness told the court he ran towards the pair after a fight began - a knife was thrown in his direction, which he tossed to the roadside.

He pulled the accused off the victim and saw a stab wound - he then wrapped his hoodie around it to try to stop the bleeding.

The trial continues today.
