Authorities have seized a freshly-painted ute, after one was used to ram a police vehicle at a Waikato car-meet

Police say four of their vehicles were rammed in total at the gathering which more than a thousand anti-social road users attended on the weekend.

Footage of the event shows a ute reversing into the back of a police car at speed.

Police say they seized the vehicle and arrested an 18-year-old following search warrants at two Otorohanga properties.

The man will appear in Hamilton District Court on Friday on three charges, dangerous driving and receiving stolen property.
