    Police say a man charged with murdering a 31-year-old in Hamilton last night was known to the victim


    Reports of gunshots on Chartwell's Bellmont Avenue led Police to the body - about 6.30pm sparking a manhunt.

    A man is due in court today - charged with murder, aggravated robbery, and failing to stop for police.

    The Herald's Cherie Howie is at the scene.

    She says the nature of the men's relationship is unclear to neighbours, and many didn't know the victim.
