    A stash of drugs and cellphones has been intercepted en route into Rimutaka Prison


    The stash of contraband was found in a delivery truck trying to access the Upper Hutt prison last Thursday.

    It included 10 cellphones, methamphetamine, LSD and cannabis.

    Prison Director Viv Whelan says they're constantly working to stay a step ahead of new smuggling techniques.

    Police are investigating.
