    Earthworks at a surf club north of Wellington, have turned up human remains


    Two separate discoveries of historical remains have been made since early May, during the construction of the new Paekakariki Surf Club.

    Police confirm the discoveries are not being treated as suspicious, and have worked with local iwi and archaeologists following the findings.

    The matter has been referred to the Coroner
