    Despite a year's hiatus from the New Zealand NBL, the Wellington Saints look their old selves following a comfortable win to open the 2021 season


    The Saints have eased by the defending champion Otago Nuggets 95-73 in Dunedin.

    The visitors opened up a 19-point lead at halftime which grew to 26 by the start of the fourth quarter.

    Saints captain and wing Dion Prewster top scored with 31 points for the Saints.

    The Wellington side opted out of the 2020 Covid-impacted season.
