The Wellington Phoenix have reacted to missing out on the inaugural OFC Professional League in 20-26 ... calling their omission "nonsensical"

The Wellington Phoenix have reacted to missing out on the inaugural OFC Professional League in 20-26 ... calling their omission "nonsensical"

Auckland FC and Christchurch United were preferred ... despite the Phoenix's submission meeting the minimum licensing requirements.

But their bid received a lower score than the other two clubs.

The Nix say that, given they are the largest professional football club in Oceania ... and the only pro club in Oceania for over 15 years ... they're seeking further information.

Meanwhile, Auckland FC's A-League pre-season plans have been thrown into chaos, after their Australia Cup semifinal was suddenly moved forward two weeks - to tomorrow night.
