About 50 unionised factory workers at Resene are striking outside the company's Lower Hutt office

About 50 unionised factory workers at Resene are striking outside the company's Lower Hutt office

They say employees can't afford the basics and are demanding the Living Wage.

E tu Team Leader Finn O'Dwyer-Cunliffe says hundreds of employers in the industry are accredited Living Wage members.

He says Resene's a highly profitable company - with lucrative contracts on the go at the moment.

O'Dwyer-Cunliffe says there's plenty of money to go around in order to increase the value of the workers' wage and increase their workforce.
