    A person has died after a crash in Invercargill


    Emergency services were called to the intersection of Nith and Bowmont streets just before 6pm yesterday.

    One person died in hospital early this morning and an investigation's underway into the crash.

    A second person who left the scene is now assisting Police.

    They'd like to speak to any witnesses, or anyone who saw a 1988, blue Mitsubishi Mirage in the Newfield area before the crash.
