    Officials are clearing a large diesel spill on the main road north of Auckland

    Officials are clearing a large diesel spill on the main road north of Auckland


    The spill, on State Highway 1 between Wellsford and Te Hana, was reported about 11.15 this morning.

    Motorists are advised to take extra care on the road.

    Police are urging people to avoid the route and delays are expected.
