Two people have been taken into custody, after a fleeing driver incident in Auckland's Greenlane

Two people have been taken into custody, after a fleeing driver incident in Auckland's Greenlane

Police spotted a vehicle of interest, and signalled for the driver to stop, just after 12.30 this afternoon.

The vehicle then took off, before colliding with a member of the public's car on the Green Lane East on-ramp, to the Southern Motorway.

Spikes were deployed on St Lukes Road - the vehicle continued to Grafton Road, where it eventually stopped.

The two occupants were taken into custody, and charges are being considered.
