    A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead in a car in Auckland's Mt Wellington


    Emergency services were called to Penrose Road just after 10.30 last night after reports of gun shots.

    Herald reporter Isaac Davison says the car remained inside the police cordon earlier today.

    He says the car's front window is shattered, and medical equipment could be seen nearby.

    Police say there are indications those involved are known to one another.
