A man's been rushed to hospital after turning up injured at a property in East Auckland's Pakuranga Heights

A witness says the man sped on to his driveway on Jade Avenue before climbing out of his car, claiming he had been stabbed.

He says the man was angry and demanding an ambulance.

Police say the man was taken to Middlemore Hospital.

Newstalk ZB's Tyra Robberts says police were taking photos and samples from a black car before it was taken away with a tow truck.
