Nelson locals are being urged to come forward with any information or footage, relating to the death of Police officer Lyn Fleming

Nelson locals are being urged to come forward with any information or footage, relating to the death of Police officer Lyn Fleming

The 62-year-old has died, and her colleague Adam Ramsay remains in a stable condition in hospital, after an early morning incident at Buxton Square Carpark on New Year's Day.

A 32-year-old man is due in court today on several serious criminal charges.

Mayor Nick Smith says everyone needs to do their bit, to support the Police investigation.

He hopes the community will support the justice system in doing its job, during a period of grief and disbelief.
