    And there's a number of road closures across the North Island because of slips


    State Highway 3 between Mokau and Piopio is closed.

    The southbound lane of State Highway 3 at Mt. Messenger is also closed.

    As is State Highway 43 between Whanga-mo-mona and Taumaranui.

    Road users in Taranaki are being advised to drive with caution and to be alert around possible flooding and debris on roads.
