    Six people are injured at State Highway One is blocked near Turangi - after a crash at Tauranga-Taupo Bridge, just before midday


    Police were called to Heuheu Parade and Hingapo Road at 11.25am.

    Elsewhere, a pedestrian was hit by a car on Auckland's Botany Road about 10.20am, and seriously injured.

    The road's closed between Millhouse and Golfland drives.
