Missing Otago teenager Caitlin Blanch has been found safe and well

Missing Otago teenager Caitlin Blanch has been found safe and well

The Clyde resident was last seen hopping off a school bus in Alexandra, at around 8 on Tuesday morning.

The search for the 17-year-old resumed earlier today due to police discovering fresh electronic data.

Yesterday, officers and Search and Rescue volunteers called off the hunt after 72-hours, believing she may have left the area.

The teen was found in the Alexandra area by LandSAR searchers this afternoon.

She will be medically assessed as a precaution.
