Changes are coming to the busiest road on Auckland's North Shore

Changes are coming to the busiest road on Auckland's North Shore

Auckland Transport is moving to ease congestion on Onewa Road - which sees 30-thousand vehicles travel along it everyday.

It's adding broken yellow lines on both sides from Birkenhead Avenue to Lake Road - making it a 24/7 clearway.

It complements other road layout changes, and new pedestrian crossing technology outside St Mary's Church and Northcote College.

Work will start later this year in summer when schools are closed, and is set to be completed in time for the new school year.
