The King died on Friday morning while he was recovering from heart surgery... he was 69.
He'll remain at the Marae for the next few days, with twice-daily powhiri for people to acknowledge him.
Marae's Scotty Morrison says there's around 3000 people there today.
He says the Governor General and Te Arawa are on the Marae now.
