A 52 year old man has appeared in Rotorua District Court charged with murder, after a woman was found dead in Rotorua's Utuhina yesterday

Police believe the event has links to two other people being found critically injured in Western Heights.

The bare-footed man arrived in court wearing shorts and a t-shirt -sporting a large bandage on his head.

He's been granted name suppression and has been remanded in custody.

He will appear in the High Court in October.
