Police say more arrests are likely, after a teen's been charged in relation to social media threats against an MP in March

The 19-year-old Gisborne man faces charges of causing harm by posting digital communications and threatening to kill.

He will appear in the Gisborne District Court next Wednesday.

Detective Inspector Warren Olsson says police take these matters seriously.

He says they will continue to hold offenders to account as investigations continue.
