Police asking for dashcam or CCTV footage following fiery crash north of Rotorua

Police are asking people for dashcam or CCTV footage - after a fiery crash north of Rotorua in which a young driver died, and two passengers were seriously injured

The car crashed into a truck on State Highway 36 at Hamurana yesterday, after being spiked twice by Police.

It was earlier spotted driving dangerously at high speed - and is linked to an aggravated robbery on Monday, in Tauranga.

Police want to hear from anyone with footage of the silver Lexus sedan - registration D-Z-S-7 - on State Highways 1 or 5, between 4 and 5.30pm yesterday.
