    A man's been arrested - after allegedly attempting to break through the cordon at the Mount Maunganui landslide


    Police and Maori Wardens watching the site coordinated a response - following a report about 2.30 this morning.

    Police say the site is a restricted area and poses significant risks to public safety - as the land remains unstable.

    The 20-year-old man is due in Tauranga District Court on Tuesday - charged with breaching the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act and careless driving.
