    The man killed in a violent assault in Levin on Thursday can now be identified: he was 57 year-old Terrence Clough


    A 31-year-old man's been charged with murder.

    He is in custody and will appear in Palmerston North's High Court next month.

    Police are asking anyone who was near Chester Street and Levin North School between 9:30pm and midnight on Thursday, or saw a lone man without shoes in the area, to contact them.
