Napier's drinking water system is holding up, despite problems with other infrastructure caused by flooding

Hawke's Bay Emergency Management says the DHB has advised there's no evidence of contamination.

The water supply will be tested throughout the day.

However people are being warned to keep away from the floodwaters as they could carry bugs that cause disease from the ground surface, and sewage systems.
