Sprinter Zoe Hobbs might've set a new national 100 metre record, but it was almost so much sweeter

Sprinter Zoe Hobbs might've set a new national 100 metre record, but it was almost so much sweeter

The Kiwi clocked a personal best of 11.21 seconds in the Potts Classic heat, bettering her previous record of 11.27 set less than four weeks ago.

Hobbs ran 11.14 in her winning final but the 2.2 metre per second tail wind scratched the time from the history books.

Had it counted, it would've qualified her for the Oregan World Championships in July.

Hobbs says it was little disappointing.
