A homicide investigation is under way into a man's death in Hastings

A homicide investigation is under way into a man's death in Hastings

It followed reports to police about 10.30 last night of a group fighting on Kiwi Lane - and a man being dropped off at Hastings Hospital after an assault - who later died.

Detective Inspector Martin James says they're working to establish what happened and people can expect an increased Police presence.

He says anyone in the area at the time who saw or heard anything should contact them.
