    Police have spent much of the night, responding to a large boy-racer meet-up in Levin


    Mayor Bernie Wanden says the unlawful gathering was concerning and disruptive.

    St John says it responded to two crashes, and transported one person to hospital in a serious condition.

    Levin resident Bianca told Newstalk ZB she was disgusted by the meet-up, which made people feel unsafe in their own home.

    She believes the boy racers don't seem to care if people get injured or killed as a result of their actions.
