Hastings' water-park Splash Planet is going to test itself as just a park after suffering financially last summer

Splash Planet will open its non-water attractions to the public at a reduced price between March and November next year as a trial.

It lost more than 320-thousand dollars last summer.

This year - Splash Planet will open weekends only for the first four weeks of the season starting in mid-November followed by a full seven-day operation for eight weeks from early December.

Midweek operation could extend though March with good weather.
