A Court has heard disturbing details - of how a West Coast mum was murdered by her ex-boyfriend

A Court has heard disturbing details - of how a West Coast mum was murdered by her ex-boyfriend

36-year-old Aaron Potts pleaded guilty to killing Barbara Quinn - at the High Court in Christchurch this morning.

The Court heard Potts texted a friend about trying out a new video game - before going to Quinn's Greymouth home in mid-December.

Once inside, he choked Quinn into unconsciousness - then stabbed her four times in the chest.

Potts drove her body in her car boot to an abandoned mine in Arnold Valley.

He spent the following 12 hours watching porn and drinking.

He was found and arrested by police nearby with moderate injuries.
