Southland Police are looking for two people who lured a man in his 50s out of his house and assaulted him, after claiming to have a flat tyre

Police say a woman knocked at an Edendale home on Saturday night - and allegedly walked the man to the corner of Melvin and Turner streets.

There, he says he was attacked by man who tried to tie his hands behind his back, leaving him with a fractured eye socket and broken nose.

Police are asking for any security footage from the area - or information on a dark SUV seen speeding from the scene.
