    Police are continuing work to determine the circumstances of a triple fatal crash near South Canterbury's Geraldine


    Emergency services were called to the State Highway 79 and Kennedy Street intersection after 3pm yesterday.

    Aoraki Area Commander Inspector Vicki Walker says a four wheel drive and a people mover were travelling in opposite directions when they collided.

    Two people were airlifted to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries.
