Overall prices have fallen 3.8 percent at Fonterra's latest Global Dairy Trade auction overnight, following a 15 percent rise a fortnight ago.
The crucial whole milk powder price is down 6.2 percent, following a 21 percent rise two weeks ago.
The Country's Rowena Duncum says the minor correction isn't necessarily a bad thing.
She says if dairy prices had been up again, it would have made many people uneasy.
